How it all began
Will’s Version
I had terrible luck with dating apps—until I matched with this stunning lawyer (who I totally thought was a catfish). My friends were convinced there was no way a woman like her would go on a date with me. But she did. Our first date at Tellers lasted over four hours, and I was sure she had better options, but she seemed... into it. So when she mentioned a second date in OKC, I figured she’d ghost me. Instead, I did something drastic: I suggested a hike in Palo Duro Canyon (even though I'm not exactly a hiker). I drove out there, and somehow, I didn’t mess it up. Over the next few months, I introduced her to my parents at a marathon Easter mass, attempted to eat a 72-ounce steak on our fourth date, and—apparently—have awful taste in vodka. Through it all, she didn’t run. After our first date, I was already sure I wanted to marry her.
Piper’s Version
I was living in Amarillo, which, let's face it, isn’t exactly known for its thriving dating scene. So, I switched my Bumble location to OKC. Enter Will—a rare gem who actually filled out his profile and didn’t post a fishing pic. His taste in alcohol was a little concerning, but I was willing to overlook that (for now). What he didn’t know was I had actually driven to OKC hoping he'd ask me out. After that first date, I feared distance might kill things, but instead, Will’s dedication proved me wrong. He’s the kind of guy who makes long distance work—and takes on wild challenges, like attempting the 72-ounce steak challenge on our fourth date. Spoiler alert: he didn’t finish the steak. But what I found wasn’t just a guy willing to eat a ridiculous amount of meat—he’s witty, smart, a little clumsy, and above all, the most wonderful human being I’ve ever met. I can’t wait to marry him and spend forever together.
And yes, we’re still working on his vodka taste.

Piper moved to OKC, they ended their long-distance chapter, and soon after, got engaged. Now, they’re ready to make it official and start their forever together
